Its a rocky road to recovery......but there are always opportunities!

US unemployment for June stood at 9.2%. For the Tech professionals however, that figure was 3.3% (source, BusinessWeek). Demand for such employees as digital marketing managers, mobile developers & cloud computing engineers has proved very high. All this shows the dual-track nature of employment / the economy. Of course, the hope is always that all employment figures will come down - but it is positive to see some good news within employment figures.

As firms look for new ways to reach their customers, as new sites and services are developed to fit with customer needs, we are seeing high demand for the employees needed to develop what companies need here. As the economy grapples for recovery, and the rocky ride so far has shown that it is not an easy road - we see strong growth in a new economy which is changing commerce.

Change is an essential part of business, and as we move hopefully towards recovery - high growth industries such as the green sector and the hi-tech sector + ecommerce will provide vital growth. Supporting these new industries, is key at all levels to give economies that vital push.

Its crucial I think that in these times when the newspapers and TV concentrate 90% on the bad things that are going on, that we celebrate success - and there are plenty of examples out there for us to look at and celebrate!
